How do I register on EduHires?

Click "Register" in the top-right corner and select your account type: Job Seeker, Student, or Recruiter. Enter your name, email, and password, then verify your email address. Students registering with a recognised school email address are automatically approved; all others require manual approval.

Is my personal information secure?

Yes. Your data is stored securely and encrypted at rest. Your contact details are only shared with employers when you apply for a job, or with recruiters who have an active CV Database subscription. We never sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Who can see the information I enter when I register?

Accepted Answer

Your email address and password are never shared with anyone. Your name and profile details are visible to employers when you apply for a job, and to recruiters with a CV Database subscription. Students and recruiters can set their organisation name which appears publicly on job listings. Your phone number is only shared with employers you have applied to.

How do I update my profile?

Sign in and go to your Profile or Settings page from the dashboard sidebar. You can update your personal details, contact information, and preferences at any time.

How do I change my email or password?

Accepted Answer

Go to Settings from your dashboard sidebar. You can update your email address and change your password from there. Passwords must be at least 8 characters with uppercase, lowercase, and a number.

Can I have multiple users on one account?

Yes. Students and recruiters support multi-user organisations. The account owner can invite team members via email from the Settings page. Team members can be assigned Owner, Admin, or Member roles with different permission levels.

How do I access, correct, or delete my personal data?

Accepted Answer

You can view and update most of your personal information at any time from your Profile and Settings pages, and you can request account deletion from Settings. To make a formal data-protection request — such as a copy of the data we hold about you (a Subject Access Request), correction, or erasure — email our privacy team at privacy@eduhires.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If a recruitment agency holds your details in their own candidate records, that agency is the data controller for those records: contact the agency directly, or email us and we will forward your request to them.

How do I upload or update my CV?

Go to your Profile page from the dashboard and upload your CV in PDF or DOCX format (max 5MB). Your CV is stored securely and attached automatically to all job applications. You can replace your CV at any time by uploading a new file.

My CV file is too large. How can I reduce its size?

Accepted Answer

EduHires accepts CV files up to 5MB in PDF or DOCX format. To reduce file size, try removing embedded images or logos, using a simpler document template without heavy formatting, or saving as PDF rather than DOCX. A clean, text-focused CV will typically be well under the limit.

What makes a good CV and cover letter?

A strong CV should be concise (ideally two pages), clearly structured with your most recent experience first, and tailored to the education sector. Include your qualifications, relevant experience, and any specialisms or subjects you can teach. A good cover letter should be specific to the role, explain why you are a good fit, and highlight any relevant achievements. Avoid generic templates — schools and recruiters value candidates who demonstrate genuine interest in the position.

How do I search for jobs?

Use the search bar on the Jobs page to enter keywords such as job title, subject, or skill. You can also filter by location using a UK postcode and search radius (5 to 50 miles), as well as filter by job type, salary, and category. Partial postcodes like "N17" or "SW1" are supported.

How do I apply for a job?

Browse jobs on the Jobs page and click "Quick Apply" directly from the listing, or click through to the full job detail page. Your uploaded CV will be attached automatically to every application. You will receive a confirmation once your application is submitted.

What happens after I apply?

Your application and CV are sent directly to the school or recruiter who posted the job. You can track the status of all your applications from your dashboard. Response times vary by employer — if you have not heard back within two weeks, consider following up or applying for other roles.

Who can see my CV and profile?

Accepted Answer

Your full profile and CV are visible to recruiters who have an active CV Database subscription. When you apply for a job, the employer or recruiter for that specific role can also view your details. Your contact information is never publicly visible on the site.

How do I post a job on EduHires?

Once you have registered and been approved, navigate to your school dashboard and click "Post a Job". Fill in the job details including title, description, salary, and location. Your job will be published immediately and visible to all job seekers.

What is Daily Cover and how does it work?

Daily Cover is our urgent staffing marketplace. When you need last-minute cover, create a Daily Cover request specifying the date, time, and requirements. Recruiters in your area will see an anonymised version of your request and can submit candidates. You can then review, shortlist, and confirm bookings.

How does the school approval process work?

Students registering with a recognised school email address are automatically approved. All other school registrations require manual approval by our team. You will be able to set up your profile while awaiting approval, but posting jobs and Daily Cover requests will be available once approved.

What subscriptions are available for recruiters?

We offer two subscription products: Daily Cover (per-seat pricing, gives access to the urgent staffing marketplace) and CV Database (flat monthly fee, gives access to search and view job seeker CVs). Both can be managed from your Settings page.

How do coverage areas work?

Accepted Answer

Coverage areas determine which Daily Cover requests you can see. You select UK postcode areas (e.g. SW, M, B) that your agency covers. You get 5 areas included with your subscription and can purchase additional areas. Requests from schools in your covered areas will appear in your Daily Cover feed.

How does the CV Database search work?

The CV Database supports full-text search with boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT, "exact phrases"). You can also filter by location and radius, job type preferences, availability, and how recently the candidate was active. An active CV Database subscription is required to view full candidate details.

How are recruiter ratings calculated?

Students rate recruiters after each completed Daily Cover booking across four categories: Staff Quality, Punctuality, Communication, and Accuracy. Your overall score is a rolling average of your last 100 ratings, displayed alongside your total lifetime rating count.

How do I manage my subscription?

Subscription management is available from your recruiter Settings page. The account owner can add or remove seats, manage coverage areas, and access the Stripe billing portal for payment method changes, invoice history, and cancellation.

How does billing work for seat changes?

Accepted Answer

When you add a seat, you are charged immediately on a prorated basis for the remainder of the billing period. When you remove a seat, the change takes effect at your next billing cycle.

Question 24

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. Open the Stripe billing portal from your Settings page and select "Cancel subscription". Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period.

I cannot sign in. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

First check that you are using the correct email address. If you have forgotten your password, click "Forgot password?" on the sign-in page to receive a reset link by email. Check your spam or junk folder if the email does not arrive within a few minutes. If you still cannot sign in, contact us using the form below.

I am not receiving emails from EduHires.

Check your spam or junk folder first. Add hello@eduhires.co.uk to your contacts or safe senders list to prevent future emails being filtered. If you are still not receiving emails, verify that the email address on your account is correct from your Settings page.

Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache and cookies. EduHires works best on modern browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. If the problem persists, try using a different browser or device, and contact us if the issue continues.
